I gather you love your flowers. My mother-in-law doesn’t, because they die. This is true. But it’s a perfect example of how you can enjoy the time you do have with them and accept that some pleasures are short and sweet. The following list of floral candles is a great substitute for experiencing this pleasure without the woes of wilting sadness.
If you find floral fragrances too strong, you can find the right balance of delicate sweetness and heady sensuality, with more aromatic or warm undertones.
So, let’s explore the flowing foreverness of flowers in a jar!
1
Floris Hyacinth and Bluebell
Brand: Floris
Price: From £48
Size: 175g
Scent: Hyacinth, bluebell, carnation and ylang ylang
Wax type: Mineral/vegetable blend
Oil type: Premium fragrance oils
Now, if you want a cascade of rich floral abundance to elevate your space, then the Hyacinth and Bluebell scented candle from Floris could fulfil your desire. When I was hit with this experience for the first time, it was like stepping into a page out of the classic book ‘The Secret Garden’.
The chief scent throws of Hyacinth and Bluebell blend effortlessly with hints of carnation, Heliotrope (a floral scent with a touch of almond), and the heady Ylang Ylang. These floral notes are expertly rounded out with woody base notes, ensuring the scent is not at all cloying.
Hand poured in Devon, I think you’ll realise pretty much immediately, that this is money well spent.
2

Neom It’s All Rosy
Brand: Neom
Price: £55
Size: 420g
Scent: Rose, geranium and orange
Burn Time: 50 hours
Wax type: Soy
Oil type: Essential oils
If you want to treat your home to the heady, sensuous scent of rose, but with a sprightly twist, this will do beautifully, in your kitchen or conservatory. When I first surrendered to this scent, it gave me a sense of nostalgia, followed by a happy calm, followed by intrigue. Although the rose was familiar, there was another layer of something I couldn’t quite put my finger on, until a few quizzical taps on the chin later.
The combination of orange, rose, and herbal geranium surprisingly evoked hints of rhubarb for me! If you’re acquainted with the tart fruitiness of rhubarb, you might catch a subtle hint of it as well.
The citrus edge certainly adds a light-hearted touch to the intoxicating rose – expertly blended.
